In 2022, developer Hamton purchased a 1.65-hectare site from the University of Melbourne and swiftly assembled a design team to create Scotch Hill Gardens.
Woods Bagot was selected to handle the architecture and interior design, while landscape architects from Tract took charge of designing 40 percent of the site, including the preservation of 77 mature trees within the designated green space.
Flood Studio was tasked with crafting a vision for this distinctive development that resonates with the local community and reflects the timeless charm of Hawthorn’s heritage. This inspiration is drawn from the Edwardian, Victorian, and Federation-style homes in the area, many of which date back to the mid-1800s.
Hamton will host an Open House Event on February 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to officially launch Scotch Hill Gardens.
